Adds Monty Sharma," After working with Richaji in Saawariya, I wanted to work with her. I needed the slightly Punjabi style in the rendition. I also wanted a voice that had pathos yet power. Richaji was the right person for this song." Incidentally, though the song was originally supposed to be in Punjabi, Monty Sharma mangaged to convince Dharam Paji to make it a Hindi-Punjabi fusion folk number with a lounge touch.
